Collection of general information

Whenever you access our website, information of a general nature will be collected. This information (in the form of server log files) contains, for example, the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar details. None of this information can be used to deduce your identity. This information is necessary for technical reasons in order to correctly provide you with the requested website content and is generated automatically when you use the Internet. We will statistically analyse anonymous data of this nature in order to optimise our website and the technology behind it.

Erasure/blocking of data

We observe the principles of data reduction and data economy. We therefore only store your data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or in accordance with the various statutory retention periods. Once the intended purpose no longer applies or the aforementioned retention periods have elapsed, the data concerned is routinely blocked or erased in accordance with statutory provisions.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the IP anonymisation activated on these websites, Google will abbreviate your IP address within the member states of the European Union or other signatories of the treaty creating the European Economic Area before it is sent. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to analyse your use of this website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with additional services in connection with website use and Internet use. The IP address communicated by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

You can adjust the settings on your browser software to prevent cookies from being installed, but please note that, in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) being sent to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from the following link: browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition to, or as an alternative to, the browser add-on, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking on our website by clicking this link. If you do so, an opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. Google Analytics will then be prevented from collecting data for this website and the browser concerned for as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps APIs in order to present geographical information in visual form. When visitors use Google Maps, Google will also collect, process and use data about their use of the map function. For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. Here, you can also adjust your personal data protection settings within your Google account.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our web pages. The corresponding plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit a page with a YouTube plug-in, a connection with YouTube’s servers will be established. YouTube will be notified of the pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube will be able to associate your surf patterns with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider will place cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

Anyone who deactivates cookies for the Google advertising program need not expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal information about usage patterns in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

For more information on data protection at YouTube, please refer to the provider’s privacy policy at

Your right to information, rectification, blocking and erasure, and your right to object

You also have the right to have your personal data rectified, blocked or – irrespective of the data storage required for conducting business – erased.   Please contact our data protection officer, whose contact details you will find at the end of this document.

To enable data to be blocked at any time, this data must be held in a lock file for monitoring purposes. You may also demand the erasure of data insofar as no statutory archiving obligation applies. Insofar as such an obligation applies, we shall block your data on request.

You can amend or revoke any declaration of consent for future effect by submitting a corresponding notification.
